PopOffsets

Strateco had, for a number of years, paid for carbon offsets but was unhappy with the various carbon offset providers and their lack of focus on the environmental downsides of reduced-carbon technologies.

In discussion with the Optimum Population Trust, Strateco conceived, developed and now facility manages www.popoffsets.com, a world first and unique project that allows individuals and organisations the opportunity to offset their carbon emissions through funding family planning and other programmes - in recognition that without facing up to the issues of population there can be no such thing as 'sustainable development'.

The project is operated on a cost-only basis as one of Strateco’s contributions towards sustainable solutions.
